Banging saws! I use/abuse them for converting building site wood - from stud wall all the way to rafters and purlins - into firewood. Speed being the objective not neat cuts. On my third in 11 years since I got the woodburner, burnt two neighbours rooves/floors plus my own from our refurb. Just had to buy a new one to finish off the people round the corner's roof timbers.

Also used it with a diamond disc to cut concrete pavers. Superb!

I do like Festool stuff...it's like the apple of tools. Bought for a kitchen fitting...it's a thing of beauty. It's just a shame it costs about the same as a descent mig...but you can't trim a kitchen top with a mig (well I never tried but I'm sure it wouldn't work)

That bloomin bag was £68!....but it's all so well made I just can't moan about the quality. Lets hope it cuts as good as it looks!

At Rover in the 80's one of the trackworkers had a contact for branded garden water pumps for a few quid (don't ask where they came from) and quite a few of us bought them. One of the fitters got home and his wife said "can I see it working" so they filled the kitchen sink and put the pump in, you can guess the result they and the kitchen were soaked.

got pretty much the same set up but , just bought bessy clamps as they double up as speed camps and half the price !
I left a review on srewfix for the bag , said it's Carp for the money only padded one side could buy a better bosch or makita bag for half the money

After all the spending I just hope it can cut!

One thing I like is their box....it's big enough that you can just put the saw back in the box and get the lid closed without having to work out how it fits back in there. I hate when they skimp on the box...you get the tool all set up but then to get it back in the box you have to dismantle it!

It's all good gear , I've the got the cordless saw and asked myself why I waited so long to get one . Just remember the track generally sits on the bit you'll keep unless you allow for blade thickness , or get a pack of splinter guards to replace the clear viewing piece .

I've got their sander and vacuum and those are really excellent so I'm hoping the track saw will be just as good as those.

Car boot was poor today. a lot of traders were leaving as there was some local police officeres walking around.

But I did get a breakfast, good coffee and some odd bits., the trader was selling small box's of:
"Interesting and odd " items.
This was my box for £5.

The plane is a nice thumb plane, the calipers are new. The chuck is new and unused. The bulbs are 6v, he Funki folding rular is 2m long.

Plus are all are working.

The chuck still has the key.

This was also in the box.
The shaft is in poor state, as is the grinder.
