New UK manufactured hotend for one of my 3D printers.
I've been looking at various options, as I'm fed up with the rubbish MicroSwiss hotend that continually leaks.
I was considering getting the E3D Revo Hemera XS and making a complete new carriage, but E3D released a new Revo CR hotend for Creality printers last week, so this should be direct replacement for the MircoSwiss hotend (which is a direct replacement for Creality hotend anyway).
The Revo system avoids leaks, as the nozzle is a complete unit from the cold side all the way to the hotend. It does mean the nozzles are significantly more expensive, but if it improves and avoids ruined prints, I think it's a worthwhile cost.

A bog standard Creality printer does generally just work if you stick to PLA.See, this sort of thing keeps me away from 3D printers. It feels like the "Linux for the desktop" argument a few years ago. Yes, it'll work, but you have to try
Wot I want is plug'n'play.
I upgraded to a MicroSwiss direct drive setup, as I mostly print PETG, which with the bog standard bowden tube/remote extruder results in more stringing.
Creality do now do some printers with direct drive setups as standard, but both my Enders are the original V1 version, so I opted to upgrade them.

A lot less space in my already overcrowded workshop...
Second-hand from Brum. I managed to get it in the back of my car (with the table, band wheels, doors and motor removed), which saved a lot of hassle. It came with 9 blades of varying depths (from a miniscule 1/8" / 3 mm up to 19 mm / 3/4") and a "Carter Stabiliser" that can be used with the smaller blades to allow it to make very tight turns. Sales video for the "stabiliser" here:
One of the first jobs I need to do is replace the wheel kit (two fixed axis wheels and a wheel on a pole) with four castors so I can move it sideways and spin it on its axis. There isn't space in my workshop to move it around properly with the standard wheels. I think I'll wait until the weather cools down before thinking about welding a new base frame for it though...
Another one of the first jobs is going to be figuring out what to do with all the clutter that's now covering both of my benches as I had to move lots of stuff to make space for the bandsaw!

I used to have one of these record band saws...when setup correctly with a good blade they really do cut very nicely. Sold mine to a furniture maker after I'd fettled it and made a few quid...but wish I had space to keep it.

Waited a couple of weeks after buying these but well worth the wait, a set of Lee Pacesetter dies for the 6mm ARC cartridge. I do believe I am the only person in the UK to have a set, no brass yet but with the dies I can make brass from 6.5mm Grendel, which I have.

Picked this up today, new in the box never used, manufactured in 2018
This is the first time I ever seen a norgren product in the flesh, I'd read on here that they were good quality and I wasn't disappointed. The quality of the castings and machine work are excellent, way better than your average stuff. Even the quality of the wall mounting bracket is seriously impressive.
