I keep a Jackall in the back of my defender, I use it in place of the standard jack that does not have enough stroke with a lift and bigger tyres:

They are proper handy. I use mine a lot.

Tons of uses for them. Even tensioning stock netting.

I did not know that. They work well on knocked in ones but anything with a concrete base is a pain in the ****. Doable but a pest

An unbranded set of 8, 10 and 12mm solid carbide boring bars. Really just bought for the 12mm bar, the others are a bonus. Took a chance on them, they feel good and I think they'll be pretty decent. And they take CC--06 which are cheap and plentiful.

Lovely little dial guage....way better than I needed but I wanted to stay away from the usual eBay rubbish. Seem quality little gauge...it's funny how you can really feel when things are made well.

Smile Dial. They are actually not bad at all. I had one, dunno where it is now I keep looking out for it but it hasn't reared it's smiley head.

Its really a lot better than I need....am only doing the runout on the volvo front discs but I decided why not get something thats not the usual ebay junk. As I get older I just like using stuff thats made well....you know the sort of stuff that doesn't tear chunks out of your fingers or just fall to bits on the first job.

From what I can tell it's a lovely little gauge....I did eventually work out how to zero it

Need an old school magnetic holder next....trying to avoid the junk on that front too if I can.

How spendy?

I need a few and it’s a balance between quality and price. I’m not building space rockets but something that’s accurate enough for engine builds etc would be nice
