Already have a few Ryobi tools purchased for less than half price when Homebase was clearing them out.

Not the best tools but plenty good enough for the home gamer, especially the fans.

The drill has done a fair amount of work OK as well..

The Milwaukee fan is 80 odd quid on it's own. Both owned by TTI.

I saw that and although I can be a bit of a Milwaukee fan boi I though £90 was a bit steep!!

Certain parts of the world a fan is a tenth that and includes a guy to operate it!

So…. I bought a Milwaukee battery thingy that has 2 USB sockets on the top. Also got me a USB fan which is aimed at chair polishers but works fine in the workshop on my bench. Also if/when i anihalate it it was only a fiver, not £90.

Good shout on the ryobi stuff though. Never used it but seen a bit on the tube and it looks fine.

I had noticed two days ago that a dealer in the Netherlands - from whom I had other things to order - apparently also has Pica in the program.

(I especially like to buy from such dealers, where with my own VAT-ID in intra-EU-trade the VAT of the selling country is omitted, without the VAT of the own country being added afterwards - means for me from Holland -20% [more precisely Price/1.2]. Some of you might remember ....)

And since these two have become indispensable to me for a few months,

I have taken the opportunity to complete my marking equipment.

It swivels and tilts and only has a hand tightening mechanism. Therefore I think it is for use on a tool and cutter grinder or a surface grinder. I could be wrong. But it doesn't have the construction for milling forces.

looking at it this way I have to agree with you

Although the rotating and swiveling axes are to be locked by a hexagonal wrench, the workpiece clamping really only takes place via the handwheel, although the size and design of the handwheel allows for a pretty good clamping, this of course does not come close to tightening with tools.

Further arrived here: A set for fine cleaning tasks, left fiberglass brush, middle brass brush, right stainless steel brush.

The glass fiber brush is particularly suitable for cleaning electrical contacts and circuits, whereby the individual fibers break little by little according to plan - I use them only with tight protective goggles and in a place from which I can free the processed area directly out into the open with compressed air from the particles - on the skin, the fine fragments are a pain, but the cleaning effect is amazing.

You could always mount it on the adapter plate with oversized holes, and tap/adjust until it clocks true in the jaws

If I understand your question, the benefit is mainly for holding thin wall components. Also they can be used for holding twist drills etc.
They have disadvantages over 3 jaw chucks however as if the scrolls get clogged with swarf it is a lot easier fighting your way to unwind 3 jaws than it is 6, also unless it is very accurate you will often not get a secure holding of the component on all jaws. When I had my 6 jaw I often just used 3 of the jaws, downside to that was the gripping face was narrower than a conventional 3 jaw.

I'm prepared to have the old lesson "you get what you pay for" reinforced.
I want to be able to clamp delicate workpieces without leaving marks on them.
I don't think I'll lose any money.
