I picked a 6' spirit level out of a skip today, seems OK except that the bubble for using it vertically is no good. As I'm using it to try to level across the top of the inner wings on my project, that doesn't matter to me.

What working area is that kit?

One thing I have to admire about these kits, is despite using some pretty crude engineering, they perform well for the price.

I believe it is 400 square. A 15w diode laser, so should be relatively good?

Transfer punch set from RDG and spring loaded transfers from arc euro.
Used both in anger on a project tonight, impressed for what they are and took measuring / guest work out.

A £9 104cm long 1/8bspt grease gun hose for my fuel system, should be able to take the 600psi of kerosene and let's me put the gauge where I want it, fittings I've put on it are a 1/4 to 1/8 test point and a 1/4 to 1/8 barrel nut for anyone interested.

If your very careful wont need to harden them if your just marking engineers blue , then take the part off and proper center punch as they save to keep your locating ones good and sharp.

But I agree with what brad said for the whole set you can't even make them for that price in steel most likley

Its coming up for harvest time and its always hit and miss if the IH440 baler is going to behave, we had problems with the bale length arm last year which lifts via this friction roller so thought a new one might be in order, its about 35mm diameter and £31.00!! at least you can still get them so thats a bonus!

When the sun's out and the rain's forecast for later getting the baler to work properly can be a bit stressful. It's surprising how fickle they are and one spurious part can throw the whole machine and operator into a state of chaos.
At over 100 bales/acre jumping out the cab and wrestling with a tightly packed but untied bunch of material every other bale can be more than a bit wearisome, especially if it's caused by a spurious part.

The box dried up. Assembly on D4 glue will not be a problem. We need to figure out how to check the accuracy of a 90 degree angle.

When the sun's out and the rain's forecast for later getting the baler to work properly can be a bit stressful. It's surprising how fickle they are and one spurious part can throw the whole machine and operator into a state of chaos.
At over 100 bales/acre jumping out the cab and wrestling with a tightly packed but untied bunch of material every other bale can be more than a bit wearisome, especially if it's caused by a spurious part.

Luckily our local tractor shop had the roller on the shelf, most other parts they can get next day even from the USA, last year it was so hit and miss we had someone ride the baler to trip the arm, weve a few bales left from last year so im even thinking of breaking them up so I can do a test run before the crucial time to get the stress levels down!

For the square .... North to south on the table , centrally along a finely pencilled line to check bubble is central rotate the square180 degrees it should be still showing central , do the same east to west . If needed shim up the table frame to get it level . Strips of coke cans are often a quick trial thing .


If it is the box measure the diagonals and sides , once all sides are pushed home 7 still glued wet using a ratchet strap pull it tight the diagonals should be exactly the same length

Pythagoras :- In a right angled triangle the square of the hypotenuse ( the longest side ) equals the sum of the squares of two adjacent . ( measure accurately the two adjacent side add & square )
Take the square root of the that longest side divide by two will give you the precise diagonal

Hard polyurethane skate board wheels , turned to size using a super fine width cutting edge tool with a lot of clearance ?

Would a double roller bearing aluminium or brass roller substitute work as a very temporary on hand spare part till you can get the OEM ?
