Not sure what hyper means in this context but it was in a bucket of very rusty tools and has no rust on it. Why is it so shiny?

A 3 diopter cheater lens should make life a bit easier not having to use glasses.

Looks like the Lidl helmet has a clip to hold it too.

And it has flames so probably the best welding helmet ever

One of my neighbours called round this morning to tell me he’s having a workshop clearout as he’s getting on a bit, and his children don’t want anything, but did I want any of it?

I now have an anvil and stand, a dozen hammers, some homemade spanners (for wagon wheels) and some tongs, together with about 200kg of assorted steel. There’s also a very large blacksmiths leg vice I’m going back for, 100 euros the lot.

On the theme of solidly engineered items I got a 15 ton bottle jack - labelled Volvo but whether they had anything to do with it's construction I don't know. But at least it pre-dates the Chinese Invasion and is pretty stout. I could have bought a brand new one from the far east for less but preferred not to - so I didn't

Jack handle was from a different jack and wouldn't fit the release screw so I had to re-work the end to suit and also replaced the roll pin !

Not strictly today, but the Gabro 4m2 that was for sale, still not tried it yet due to been busy, however just had a measure up and it's a touch tall for where I wanted it..

Would any body know how much of a difference 200mm removed from the handle would make?

Make a sleeve to go on the end you chop off then if you need the extra leverage you can slide it on once it is down a bit.

I've tried them in 3.0° as my glasses but I cannot see anything .

Today I acquired or better ordered many things
Starting with a cheap long nose 700W Bosch clone electric die grinder

I wanted one for many years but a Metabo or Fein one are too expensive for me , looked for a while to other alternatives like Bosch, Makita or even Stayer .
Figured out that I'll use it not so often and that cost difference between them and Metabo (which would have been my personal choice) wasn't so much but in smaller power output and without speed controller.
So I've gave a look to eBay and bought this one for less than 65 euros instead of 250+ euros
I'll make a review after a bit of testing.

I've also bought the parts for my Jonsered 2036 turbo which is an Husqvarna 36/136 chainsaw in most of it's parts.
So new oil pump, new engine,new intake manifold
Again it will not see much use , it's just to have a functional chainsaw

I've also ordered a new exhaust silencer for my car since a backfire destroyed it

I've got two teeth Fixed

And bought a pair of gloves

I am trying to not spend my money but I'm working also to buy things I like and to keep both hobbies and my work going.

Still have to buy new tires for my car and pay taxes.
Hopefully I don't have to pay too much for custom (engine came straight out of china)

Anyway Next thing I'll buy are Parkside screwdrivers (you can use them with an hammer and or put a wrench on them)
