It looks like a Chinese machine , check out the spelling on the label "maust " for must .
The " CE " .. IIRC the letters on a genuine CE should not be almost touching with little space between them nor too far apart . .

Hopefully he won’t do the same, this might need a radiator, it looks a bit wet at the bottom and needs front brakes, but bits are cheap, no cam belt it’s a chain, I got it for £300 which I though was a good price when you start looking around at prices.

Not today but I’ve been using it for a week or so. God knows what’s in this but it’s the best penetrating oil I’ve ever used. Got a can off a rep for free which is a bonus.

Bit spendy at £3.50 but we’ll worth it. Especially on corroded fittings.

Just ordered some cost me £6, I needed to stock up and was going to get Plus-Gas again but I will try this and it’s cheaper than Plus-Gas

I didn't find - except for this "Alfa Cut" logo which leads me nowhere but to service providers for laser and waterjet cutting - any known manufacturer on the machine.

For some years now, CE has jokingly stood for ChinaExport amongst us.

I had already put the motor plate in that area and even if the whole machine came from there, I got a lot of machine with quite some use value for me for little money. I'm happy.

Nice little cars. The last vehicle welding job I did was rear sill on one of those. For a friends son he ran it for three years and then got a decent trade in.

His didn't have ABS which was a slight downside but it didn't cause him any troubles.

Fantastic little cars usually rotten on the cross member under the rad but as its classed as a radiator support its usually not a fail! I though it was mad too.
Sporting Micra forum is a great source of info too

It has two cam chains, the do rattle but if you know how you can change just the top one and it usually cures it.
I think ours was about £100 from the scrappy with a two page fail sheet, 95% of it was bulbs and simple fixes, ran it for about 10 months taught Winchgirl to drive in it then got £300 trade in against a Diesel one

Not today but last week I acquired Hobbymat mini lathe from @Blobber - thoroughly nice chap, good to meet you!
It's already fairly stripped down but think I will go the whole hog on it and get it working and looking good



Today I made trip up to Chester and picked up this Femi bandsaw with table, nice bit of kit. Thanks to @Ubique for the tip to look for one with a table for upright work, the table design is really simple and effective and would be easy to knock up for the Aldi Workzone one I have, but the Femi is leagues ahead in quality.





And on the way back I stopped off in Brum and picked up this Eclipse 14" x 6" mag chuck - Lovely

Mrs TF's Land Cruiser didn't start on Sunday morning so had to jump start it from her late Mum's old VW Up; suspect cold weather and lack of use more than anything untoward. Seeing as we're away for a long weekend in it soon I suggested we look at getting a jump starter...

Mrs TF's Land Cruiser didn't start on Sunday morning so had to jump start it from her late Mum's old VW Up; suspect cold weather and lack of use more than anything untoward. Seeing as we're away for a long weekend in it soon I suggested we look at getting a jump starter...

I bought the 70 version when on offer from Amazon recently. Didn’t really believe the hype but it started a completely flat TDCi Defender after being put on the battery for five seconds

Good to know! I did see a discussion on here about them and the NOCO did seem popular.

Her Land Cruiser is a 2.8 and her new 3.5t horse lorry (treated herself with some of her late Mother's estate) is a 2.3 so hopefully the GB40 Boost Plus wills suffice; it says up to 3.0 diesels.

If her 2.3 is a Fiat Ducato are you aware of the likelihood of damaging the airbag ECU when jump starting ? If t’s a common problem on motorhomes that stand for long periods , likely the same for horse boxes?

Get a decent charger/battery conditioner - keep the battery healthy. Once a month, I give all mine a day or two on the charger/conditioner. Batteries doing well after 2 yrs of not much actual use.
