Nothing comes close really. The sort of thing you use once in a while but when you need it you need it

I picked up a 32 ounce lump of solid copper soldering iron for £1 about 35 years ago at a boot sale.. A week or so after getting it I took the header tank off the rad on my eldest daughter's boyfriend's ancient P reg Vauxhall Viva , cleaned out the clogged elements and re-soldered it back in place for a leak free job .. did the full top overhaul as well for it was a blown head gasket that caused the problem of the blocked rad in the first place.

My new wife of a few months was non too pleased that I used the gas hob to heat the iron or me using cardboard covered work tops as my work bench . She did like the smell of the melted resin flux though

You're probably right in that it's the R that makes me think for sure that this logo is from your island/s.

I can't see an abbreviation with a prominent R at the beginning without thinking Royal ....

I put antique diestock into my search engine thought I'd found a spanner type but elsewhere it has two legs , is there any chance that the other leg has been ground off & was polished to suit the rest of the housing?
Are your DE search engines liable to turn up something if you search for the technical German name equivalent ?

Today I acquired a couple of 10mm 4 flute carbide cutters with 1mm nose rad and an 8mm 3 flute carbide 90 degree chamfer mill.

I also got one of these, the very first of the HEX ezCAN's for the Africa Twin CR1100 which just became available a few days ago.

This set was £22.99 today in Lidl.
It will just be used on my electronics table, low voltage projects ie: 9 to 12 volts stuff.

This flooring watsit cutter was taken to the tip, sorry..recycling centre.

(It's not in my workshop) it's going to live in our works place. Old stables where three of us work.

I doubt very much that I will use it but someone will find it handy.
