I charge my I Pace at home on a 13A plug, about 37hrs to full from empty13 a plug I believe I do know his house has a very limited supply to it he is planning to upgrade it but I think the cost was pretty eyewatering I think it required about 1/4 mile of cabling to the substation
What are you getting ? I’m meant to be having a delivery on 02 dec too. Excited!I will be joining the EV revolution shortly if it turns up next month.
Initially, it’s going to save me a lot in BIK and I can claim 100% of its value against my profits.
I don’t know how long thats going to be the case , once they get more people on board, the incentives will slowly disappear.
As for ICE, they will be around for quite a while yet, but like cigarettes and tobacco, when the time comes, they will just whack the cost up to deter you. ( have you seen the price of a packet of fags these days)
Then the only ones using them will be the rich, or it will be like mad max
I have thought this for many years,What they never tell you is that many authorities were deliberately creating congestion and several were caught out doing so and creating the problem they already had the answer to. MONEY again.
Portsmouth`s LEZ kicks in at the end of the month, a££ects HGV`s atm but you can be sure the noose will tighten on anything non electric in the next few years.

Daily charge to enter the Portsmouth CAZ | |
non compliant private hire vehicles, taxis | £10 |
non compliant HGVs, buses, coaches | £50 |
just the same as they did with diesel ten years ago.Hello all,
that is now, but as ev ownesrhip increases and fuel revenue drops there has to be a way of recouping that lost revenue. Road charging is likely so ev running cost must increase, probably dramatically.
Alec
Wouldn't that count as a fleet buyer?Motability purchase 200,000 cars a year or there about apparently
Birmingham ULEZ has been going for a while now. £8 for carsPortsmouth`s LEZ kicks in at the end of the month, a££ects HGV`s atm but you can be sure the noose will tighten on anything non electric in the next few years.

The Government cocked it up in the 60's, with Mr Beeching starting the slow decline to what we have today,
How different it would now be, if most of the heavy haulage had stayed on the railways.
The motorway structure may well have been different, and the congestion may have been worse because of it,
We'll just have to suck it and see![]()
My grandparents had a railway siding / yard at the bottom of the garden. Massive and hundreds of, steam, trains and wagons which used to fascinate me in late '50's - early '60's. Dropped by the house a couple of years ago and now the yard is a huge housing estate !They were very well placed to deal with freight, shame it was brought to its knees. It would take a lot to bring it back, they have sold off so many sidings for development they would be pushed to deal with the volume of freight nowadays. They had it all really
