road legal I believe as they are looking at private sales, farms, utilities etc.

I guess the 'designer' didn't have access to a set of french curves or a skilled panel beater. I wonder what sized shoes he bought to get the shoe box he drew around. There's Utility and there'UTILITY.Just been looking if prices of electric 4 x4 utility vehicles are coming down in cost, similar to a John Deere Gator EV but 4 x 4 and stumbled on this, This is not what I was looking for but still interesting

Definitely function over form, fine by me. Easier to make and replace panels. I'm guessing mark 2 may have a few more curves if they get any interest.

The Munro is basically a Foers Ibex which started life back in the late 80s. Generally Ibexs use Land Rover bits on a custom designed galv chassis/body/rollcage, strength and longevity key selling points along with excellent off road capabilities such as an interesting centre winch system. UK designed/built. I like the design lines! If you are going to do small volume production you work with what you have and if that means using your press brake rather than investing a fortune in dies then so be it. The end users tend to be the type that will be fixing it themselves anyway when the time comes.

Currently 6-7 months, that is expected to drop though, 2 factories in Germany are now making UK models

I had responded a few posts later. I have actually taken on board a few of your suggestions.
I’m 4k miles in now , and find I drive a lot smoother , overtaking earlier , rolling up to junctions. Reducing my speed on Mway to 65 gives me a bit more range ( it’s surprising how many cars you overtake as well).
I can get around 3.3 miles to the KW without feeling I’m deliberately going slow etc.
I still charge earlyish during the journey. If I have 100 miles to go and 120-130 range, I would still top up at that point. I would rather come home with some in the tank than risk getting caught up in traffic etc and not being able to get to a charger, or those chargers not working. Probably over cautious, but I don’t want to be left at the side of the road with no power.
I love the car, I like that I’m not pumping any thing nasty into the atmosphere from the car ( ignoring where the power has come from obviously). I also love driving my diesel van, so much in fact that I have just bought another
. Should get me through to when they sort out a van with a decent range ( I’m looking at you long range , long wheelbase buzz) then I will go electric only.If they get the infrastructure up to anywhere near what Tesla offer in that time then it will be easy. MFG seem to be rolling out a fair few. What worries me is the government are trying to get involved , and we all know what happens when they get their procurement teams on the job

I reckon very few people are ev sceptical and it’s not like characterless four pot diesel cars are any great loss . The problem is cost.
I know a lot of members on here are affluent but for a lot of people by the time a ev will be old enough to be affordable the battery will be a expensive concern and tax breaks will be over anyway
