All big sites are like that. Logistic gestapo. When they were building the Olympic park I had to cut the end off an old bridge so it could be lifted with a 1000T crane. The crane got on site but they left the spreader beam behind. Sent it down on a lorry, turned up early hours and parked in the empty space outside site, got shooed away by the gestapo. Came back at 8am and got sent away because it was booked in the day before They had to pull strings to get it onto site.

Another time we were working in the same park and our delivery guy turned up a bit early to deliver a generator. They turned him away to come back in half an hour. He went down the road and pulled up outside a cafe. Went in to get his travel mug filled with coffee and when he came out the genny had been nicked off the back of his van.
