@Hood may have cold hands but only because he actually has a warm heart! Having met him several times now I can vouch that he's really much like a Daim bar; all hard and abrasive on the outside but smooth and soft on the inside...

Wurth do an excellent black superglue type adhesive specifically for glueing grips on I believe. Used to use it putting them on yamaha quads when I worked for the local dealer. Got to be bloody quick putting them on though or they end up stuck half way..!

Anyhow today I acquired my first AC/DC welder. ( this forums got a lot to answer for ! one thing always leads to another )

Murex transtig 201is 240v occasional use in an engineering company ( welding the bosses ali fishing boat ) in excellent condition for an older machine

original murex torch ( wp26 ) 35mm ground and clamp 35mm stinger reg and hose , an MK double 16 amp outlet'

16 amp extension dont know how long ?
four packets of tungstens big box of consumables
and finally 6 packs of filler rods

once had a good sort through I'll be passing on some of the leads and bigger filler rods . I've down loaded some of the user manual so now I need some ali scrap and start the hunt for a foot pedal if anyone has one kicking around . I think I got it for a song

Almost all will be 5mm.

Back in the day we used to use hair spray to stick the grips on the crossers .

Spray paint works well also.
Wet as lube to get it on then goes off and sticks the glue to the bars.
