A 3D mouse isn't going to help you learn Fusion 360, it will may you more productive though. I switch between a Logitech MX Master 3 on the desktop to using the built in touchpad on a laptop. Stick with what you have for now.

Don’t know , but make sure it works with current software, got a 10 year old one at work that’s no longer compatible

Is that Logitech Mx master 3 a 3D mouse?
Looks identical to my work one - must be over a decade old now. IT lot update the drivers every now and again.
My own personal one is a simple heavy circular thing - almost looks like thr work one without the plastic arm rest/button carrier bit.

True - but once you get used to it, and if you use it a reasonable amount, even maybe for half an hour or so, then the 3D mouse makes it so much easier, quicker, nicer.
I used various 3D CAD systems with just the tools you mention, in offices from London to LA, via Aachen, with stints in Ohio and NY over 15 yrs . . . and then I sat in a training session for NX in a small place in Cambridge and they used 3D mices
- and I was converted in minutes - I hate having to use it without one now. You don't realise how good it is until you have to go back to one mouse and buttons which I find awkward, slow and ache inducing trying to get fingers to hold mouse buttons all the time. No more lifting the mouse to get it back to the middle of the mouse pad to continue a rotate, pan etc.Being able to zoom, pan and rotate all in one smooth move - I've read somewhere it's like holding the model in your hand and manipulating it exactly where you want it - but without your hand getting in the way of seeing something - get it right where you want it, hit the "2D" button (little round one in the middle of the four buttons to the right of the "joystick" in the picture of the 3D one in the post above) and you can zoom and pan without risk of twiddling it about to see exactly what you want to see. In the drafting side of it, it works to zoom and pan just the same, while allowing whatever command you are in the middle of to remain operative.
If time is money, then I reckon it would be a worthwhile investment - I bought a boggo simple one for my own use outside of usual work. Quick look on ebay - seem to start at the 35 quid mark.
I keep trying to use its abilities in other programmes - find yourself trying to zoom, pan pdfs, word documents, google maps etc.
