Sumitomo waterproof socket.

Anyone have any idea where I could get one of these sockets?
I am wanting to connect into the 12v accessory wiring on my Africa Twin and I have been searching for a few hors and not come up with anything the same.

The only numbers I have found are these on the plug.

and these on the blanking socket.

The symbol looks like the Sumitomo one so I assume that is what they are but I just can't seem to find identical ones.

Or just get the seals & electrical connectors for the socket.

Thanks, I think I have looked at that site, found similar but nothing the same but will scour it again. I am starting to think they have been specially made for Honda.

Normally I would just replace it but it is a new bike with a 3 year warranty so not wanting to interfere with the wiring. I had ordered the Honda original 12v socket when I bought the bike but they are on back order and have been for months and no ETA

I doubt they'd be specially made, can you de-pin the plug and take photos of the pin with dimensions? I might have something that'll fit in the socket shell you have. Alternatively, do Honda have the contacts available separately? most manufacturers do.

I have just put all the plastic back on so not away to haul it apart again, will probably just have to wait for the various accessories I have ordered to come in, hopefully it won't be too long

I reckoned the PBT was but was hoping the t26 and t3 were significant in helping me track it down but looks like it is not.

I think Renault use those connectors, I'll see if there's anything similar on any of the old engine harnesses we have kicking around.

I did search but all I have seen so far is for the CRF1000 (2016-2019) and it seems to be a different setup than the CRF1100 (2020 onwards.

I did take some measurements of the socket, whether they would help I have no idea.

This last one is the width of the terminal receptacle or whatever you would call it, it is 3.23mm wide.

Pin will be a 3.2mm, which is a standard size, the slot above is for the de-pinning tool, the critical bit is the shape of the terminal behind the pin / socket as that is how it is retained in the shell, it'll be the same for a pin or socket. I'm not at work so I can't give you any photos of what to look for until tomorrow.

Thanks, I am wondering if the above one for the earlier Africa Twins may fit, housing shape is different but maybe the connectors will be the same.

Aye, that is where I got the pic of the one supposedly fitted to the older CRF's.
Still searching through it but it is a slow process

Do you have the correct crimping pliers?
In case you're not aware, the seal should be positioned as shown below then held in place by the mechanical crimp.

No idea, I have normal uninsulated crimp pliers which I use on the likes of the Japanese bullet connectors amongst others.

They should look like this

The rounded end is the mechanical crimp, the 'm' shaped end is the electrical crimp. If you don't have, I'm sure you could improvise with a pair of long nose pliers and a quick dab of a little solder.
