Today I acquired...........

14km run, to lidl, 8.5km of that the way back with two of these medium, red handled f clamps, in my bag, I now believe I have enough clamps. Also got one of their armless jumpers for when it gets cold in the shed.

The run back was not the most pleasant. I have a water bladder in my bag and I assumed the clamps somehow made it leak, so I was getting a very wet bottom. It was just the threaded hose connector coming undone

I got some of those some years back - they had an aluminium edging strip - maybe canteen tables - wood quality was superb - some kind of bonded ply.

I returned with some stuff from my Åland trip. They have a lot nicer flea markets than in the mainland from what I've seen and usually not with the same inflated prices either, everything here was 1-3 euros a piece except the 8x40 binocs which where 30, but they where really great binoculars.

Also a lot of alcohol, not that I drink much, but booze is expensive in Finland and the tax free shop is a lot cheaper, so bulk up whilke you get the chance, haven't been on a trip like this in 14 years.

But man Åland really is a pretty place.

On the same trip that I got my Kawasaki hedge trimmer I collected this Stuart Turner 3 bar shower pump I won on Ebay. It's the same model as the one in my bathroom so good for a swap if it goes wrong!
I connected it up to my test rig, fitted a plug and it works
Not bad for £5.50!
These things a proper old school made with brass, they cost £350 new!

Gonna repeat myself but it's a really lovely place, especially in summer. And all the roads are red, because the tarmac is made from the local rock which is reddish, gives the whole place a different feel.

Absolute steal! I sold a pair of them years ago, a bit rusty, paint flaking off the body so not the best condition, I think they went for about £120 each!

I’ve got a very old bottle of furniture restorer from tool station. It works a treat to clean stuff like this without damaging the Polish. Meths, turps, white spirt etc will strip the surface to the wood.

if I’d does go wrong, j]keep the dirty cloth and use that to apply t]any new finish, I usually use wax, it will add back some of the patina. What ever you do do t use wire wool or sand paper

No name on it. I found it on marketplace for £50 looks unused. I put it on an old trailer wheel nut with a 6ft pipe over the handle and it didn't bend or break.
