More tidying and storage solutions, perhaps I should start a dedicated thread
This one is a little different in that I made something out of metal ....

New space under bench filled with welders and plasma cutter from trolley, which is now nearly empty enough to go.
Also squeezed in my red tool box full of grinding/cutting discs, various saw blades etc.





To the right is a vertical board which I started last week before realising the compressor could move. I figured I could make a pull out tool board for something to make use of the end space.
Whilst in the process of fitting it I cracked my head (much swearing and a little blood) on the Master RBR which fits to the top of the bench at that end and overhangs quite a bit. At that point I gave up.
I revisited it this morning and turned it into this.







Storage for the bender and all it's parts. Nice and near to where it fits, so maybe I'll take it off now when I'm not using it rather than leaving it in situ.
Everything I've made so far is out of odds and sods from the garage and shed. The tin is one of those you keep as it will come in handy one day, the pouch was from some spanners and was in the bin when I spotted a use for it. All the wood is just bits I've saved, I hate chucking stuff away. So it's getting rid of some of that stuff too, or at least making use of it.

Next job is to unload a metal cupboard and filing cabinet and move them about 80mm sideways so I can fit in the locker I bought and put all the PPE type stuff that's still on the trolley away

Cut out the old one.

Started welding up the outside of the new one.

Then the inside.

Then filled the hole in the table with it.

I thought so too, but thirty seconds in a dry pan followed by thirty under the grill apparently works just as well.

Thought it was just a mix of water and flour but been a while since I've looked makers look nice so interested to see what they where made with.

Skillet with a lid on does the job, my wife makes them and we keep some in the freezer ready for tea time curry. Here's the recipe she uses, put some garlic and coriander in the mix if you are so inclined, it's really nice.

Afraid so . Don't tell me its WAS worth a fortune .It was either that or a hernia. I've kept the missing bit so it could always be welded back in . Or not.

Reminds me of the Rock art trail the village started to show support for the NHS here in Wales during the pandemic last year. Contributions by young and old expressing their thoughts and good will on stones and bricks, lined the canyon walk for hundreds of yards. Epic, although on a small scale.

Of my grandfather, father and his six brothers, only one lived to retire.

I was born there too. My Uncle, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather worked in the Dare.

My box of HSS bits has a few odd shapes and today realised what one is for, O ring groove undercuts on bspp and similar.

I had a 0.6mm gap from cross drilling with a less than ideal drill, so went with silbralloy (CuP with silver) and easyflow flux. Blobbed too much rod where I shouldnt - it is hard and takes ages to file back.

Next job is assemble the tig cooler, need to make a case/frame and brackets to hold pump and tank. Turned another bspp, this was my quickest thread yet about 15 minutes and it measures good.
