I thought Max’s comments and general demeanour were quite telling. Diresta is in the same bag as chandock imo - pretty non credible as analysts.

My view is Hamilton gave Max room on the way in, then closed the door too late. By then the Red Bull was inside him. Lewis' comments that Max should have moved over is nonsense - you cannot concede mid corner by turning in - only by turning out. Like Lewis did on lap 1 in fact. Unfortunate that the kerb nerfed Max's car and Lewis' wheel picked the car up and over.
You can turn out when there is a car outside you and the other driver has the chance to open the steering, if you turn in the car insid can't turn in more - it's physics, simple.
Should Max have gone in there? Well the door was open...
And the penalty -3 grid places for putting your car down the inside on a slow corner, vs 10 seconds metered out to Lewis for doing it at a 200mph corner. Beggars belief! But then I can see this is the clampdown from the stewards on the dodgem cars.

I am not a steward, neither do I have any idea what data stewards have to hand. I do however have experience as a human, MV failure to check that LH was ok after he Saw the damage to LH car was absolutely disgusting and I believe his penalty of a 3 place grid forfeit is ok but the 2 points on his licence should be way way more. The person in the car underneath whoever it is may have needed assistance and MV should have helped.
MV has a lot to learn.

The collision was quite slow, however MV rear wheel, chassis and engine all ended up very close to LH, thankfully the combination of Halo and Roll structures stopped LH betting any serious injurie.
Luckily no hot fluids escaped over LH either and both drivers walked away.
The incident could have been horrific for both drivers.
I will say this again MV , should have stopped to check that LH was ok.

So it’s ok to walk away without checking if another driver is injured in your opinion. ?
That's some of the most biased reporting I've ever seen - taken to hospital as a precaution - yes, 50g needs a visit you'd think....
Don't please put your words in my mouth. You can tell when someone is desperately trying to use his battery to restart the car - to continue to the pits in the hope of carrying on - well done Lewis for trying.

What's biased about it? It's exactly why they take them, as a precaution.
Same as Lewis will get some checks after being smacked on the head by Max's tyre.
Lewis was very lucky Max's driveshaft on the right wheel broke, because Max still had the throttle down when the tyre was on his head.

Simply the way it says he was taken to hospital as a precaution, no mention of a 50g stop.
I noticed the wheel had stopped spinning, probably a good thing.
