Bushes were also very hard but slowly slowly catchy monkey. If they are hardened then an endmill or slot drill in carbide will be easy
Are The bushes different then?

Biggest issue is this damn keyway. I hate being beaten. Lol

This is my problem. I don't know if I buy things if it will do the job. Most stuff I have is HSS unless it's for larger stuff. You also get 3 flute carbide drills which are excellent, I picked up a few Guhring ones, brand new, for very little money but if buying new you need to be sitting when asking for the price

I thought the same as Barking Matt so how wrong was I lol...
Remind me where you bought these? You do get boring bars that take inserts and go down to 8mm and below. I sold a solid carbide shank one a few days ago that I think was 8mm although may have been 10, the bar was def 8mm. Anyway there are also solid carbide bars that go way down in size, WNT do a set at a good price every so often and are well worth having as you can get all sorts of bars for them including grooving, threading, turning etc, see pic.
Top bar does down to 5mm, I have smaller.

As has been said though a solid carbide end mill or even a drill would work.
WNT, they have them on special every so often.Remind me where you bought these?
You're lucky, I can't even find the online shop now. Can’t seem to find them now, I remember I found them last time you said.
Looks to have shut down and replaced by cerazit crap websiteYou're lucky, I can't even find the online shop now.![]()
It's amalgamated with 3 other suppliers I believe. You're lucky, I can't even find the online shop now.![]()
But you are right it is a crap website.Looks to have shut down and replaced by cerazit crap website
Aye, Ceratizit, WNT, Komet and Klenk all one now. It's amalgamated with 3 other suppliers I believe.
I suspect I don't need such small increments since I increased the cutting speed and was amazed how well it did actually cut. I only had to open an 8mm hole to 12mm.9 and 11 are not normal sizes, maybe 3/8 and 7/16 would do? Then again not sure how easy it would be to get imperial anyway.
What's a CNC cutter. How does it differ.Aye, Ceratizit, WNT, Komet and Klenk all one now.
PITA was that when I had the account with WNT there was no way to change your email so I had to contact them. They did change it for my login but they didn't change for my contact so not sure if I can get logged in again, will see, currently locked so will have to email them.
Regarding the milling cutters, you should go CNC, doesn't matter what size cutter you have, well as long as it is smaller![]()

I was amazed the way it collapsed and crunched when the cutting speed was slow but cut like butter when the speed was higher.
Not a CNC cutter, I am meaning a CNC mill. What's a CNC cutter. How does it differ.
Facemill. Although no carbide really likes an interrupted cut.Me again.been a bit busy during the last few weeks but I have just been asked to take 10mm of some steel bars with approx 20 of 30mm holes in it.
Definately hardened and my fly cutter ain't too happy at cutting it.
Would you all use a tipped milling cutter or get some CBO tips for it...assuming they are available
