It all depends, really a CNC with tools already defined and offsets save or with a toolsetter for quick tool setup then one offs are usually quicker than on a manual. Having said that I do more on my manual lathe than the CNCIt's all the cost of set up, on a cnc, if local firms need one bit, then the local chap with a conventional lathe is at a premium it would seem.
That's round here.
Lathe work, machining hourly rate, plus whatever costs are involved to tooling.
