They vary. Fullers are normally used for making a round end on square bar, or variations on that theme. They are normally used in pairs, the bottom fuller slots into the anvil and the top is handheld. Each has a half concave. The thing in the picture looks like a splitting iron. You sometimes see them with a flat square head, that's a flatting iron, does what it says on the tin.

They do vary! Unlike most other sports, blacksmiths make their own tools so while an individual tool might conform to a family or set of typical versions, they will almost all be different!

Scored one of these, today.
I'd put off for long enough the acquisition of a FF dSLR, while waiting for the prices to drop to sufficiently cheapskate levels and decided to push the button. Then I found the prices of the MkII were low enough... so instead of a Mk1...got this...
This'll do me for the next few years.
Now I can effectively explore the real limits of the classic glass I collected ten years ago (and more) when great old lenses were cheap as chips.

Looking at your pic and seeing the calculator, I wanted a dead simple one for the w/shop. Just roots and squares. They had one in the local supermarket at €5, except it was called 'The Primary School Model', which put me in my place
Made me think back to my first one in '74. Big feature was a constant (!) and it weighed a pound or so with a rechargable battery and cost £35 back then....

Re acquired today because I had forgotten I had it
Unearthed this gurt Boughton winch, it was welded /mounted to a very ugly chassis with tons of extra bracing. Set about freeing it from captivity today with the gas axe and disc cutter.
The only bit that needs freeing up is the selector, easing oil applied

Acquired some freshly cut ash over the weekend from some neighbours in the village that had to have the tree cut back as it was getting in the way of power lines...
Should give me plenty of stock for woodturning once I get it processed and sealed but my wee Makita electric saw struggles so I pushed the buy button on a Makita (Dolmar) petrol chainsaw with 18" bar, it arrived yesterday but haven't had time to actually give it a whirl yet.
