I knew that cheap er40 collet chuck would be useful! Theres no other nice way to hold it other than hang by the mounting holes. The hb 989 is thick stuff but sprayed nice. Used 250ml of mixed epoxy primer in total.

I wanted to try @Dcal 's suggestion of adding tint for the second coat, I risked it with 2g metalic blue basecoat in 75g epoxy. It didnt mix very nicely and sludged up a bit at first - which I then forgot to filter But it mostly sprayed ok, but a pain to clean gun at the end.

Cocked up at end holding the heat lamp too long at the front, it bubbled up So will sand that back, but it'll get another coat elsewhere after the filler.

Made some little backets for LED flashers. Little bit of cutting to the back of the grille and they fit in quite nicely. Spent plenty of time fixing previous terrible wiring too but they work. Now just needs the rears fitted and wired.

Thanks for that, there is a notable change from the first ones I did, certain pictures make it easier though. I've a couple done at the moment I really like as well.

I have always been meaning to try and do some of the boats but I did try once and quickly got annoyed at myself so gave up, one day...

The first time I tried drawing something it didn't go well so decided it was a stupid idea and gave up, came back to it a while later and got it done eventually. It's noticeable how much quicker I can draw them now.

Aye, like anything it is practice I may get back to trying one day as a few people have asked me for images of their boats in gates, weather vanes and other things.

When I drew this it probably took 6 hours to get it right. I reckon I could do it in 2 now.

Certain images you can scan, normally still need a bit of manual tweaking though to make sure everything's connected.

Finally I've something to post that's welded.

I use the word in the loosest possible sense. Welding has improved but my grinding has come on by leaps and bounds

It's a stand for my mill/drill. It only took me two days.

So yesterday evening I've shot down the calendar trying to remove broken fastener.
Nothing to do .
Vise grips
Heat+vise grips
Nut welded on it
Drilled and attempted to use an extractor , broken it
Than drilled through the hardened steel and nothing to do drifted and ruined the part .
This morning I've removed the infamous lawnmower blade holder using the propane torch .
Cleaned the shaft ,applied copper grease once cold, heated up the new part and put on the shaft.
Sharpened the blade , reassembled.
Easy money.
And then once home little bit of relax.
pasta with fresh cherry tomato sauce, sautéed garlic, chopped onion, dried tomato, chilli pepper and olive oil. (Obviously I'm the chef)

Only way to get better at welding is practice . Keep at it and it will click and you will only get better
