I've actually got more stuff than I want or need and have been selling it off for the last 18 months, slowly working through it all and making space.

To be honest, I have been having a bit of a rationalisation and I am getting rid of stuff. I cannot remember the last time I used the dividing head for instance so I am really thinking letting it go but then I know that things aren't getting cheaper so.........

I had loads of them from when we converted BMW E9 Csi to five speed, could not give them away, until a guy bought one for some sort of oval circuit racing, stuck it behind a yank V8, they sold like hot cakes after that!

Many moons ago I made a bellhousing to take the Getrag to a GM V8, made it with the two starter positions so it would fit all GM/Buick/Olds V8-V6 offerings.

Meanwhile, today I acquired an Owl, okay he is not really mine, but he decided to park himself in one of my trees at the front door so today he belongs to me. Tomorrow will likely be somewhere else but he is welcome to stay as he is keeping the pigeons away.

It is indeed, I have a couple. This one is the tallest at about 35 feet and I really could do with one of the trunks taking down.

After a few fairly dark weeks, the culmination of which was being diagnosed (yet again...) with depression, I thought a treat was in order for my 19th (×3) birthday last Monday and as woodworking seems to be figuring largely in my life at the moment, this lovely Makita planer/thicknesser arrived on Wednesday:




5 minutes testing with a couple of scrap boards, the left hand ones being before and after:




And had a trip to the great metropolis of Darlington this morning to (almost) finish the spending spree and bought some woodworking tools and a cut-off saw:






Looking at purchasing a table saw in the near future and sorting out an extraction system for the cuttings asap!

And thanks to @northwest for the stickers. They arrived last week but events overtook me so apologies for not getting back to you.

Today I acquired another dent in my wallet. Won the bid on a hydraulic lift table which I'll be collecting next week, I love a road trip.

Edit: Here's a screen shot. 2' x 4' table rated at 700kg which elevates to one and a half metres. It appears to be like the ones that come from Midland Bearings supply ?

Not today, but during my last trip up to Yorkshire I found this in the garage, rusted and seized up. After a bit of elbow grease and a day in citric acid I have.

Looking up the part number gives me ground crew adjustable spanner so that would probably have come home from National Service.

A wee Verdict lever-action DTI... scaled in 0.0005" divisions. Quick polish of the glasses with some Autosol, movement is free enough but under a magnifier the chrome-plating is cracked on the tip, not that it would matter much for the junk I turn out A tenner, posted... best hope 'C' Shift don't miss it

Bagged this off the local Facebook page for the grand sum of.... Nowt!

Needs some tlc, but it's the same as my other 2, one has 2 grinding wheels (10 or 12" iirc) and the other has one grinding wheel (8"?) and a polishing mop, but I'm going to swap the mop for some 10" or 12"wire wheels. Once they're all working and tidied up I can get rid of the smaller single phase ones.
