Picked up a Clarke silent compressor which needs looking at, the first compressor unit seems to be leaking oil.

Not really acquired today, but I didn't know I had them. I was looking for some big anti-rattle washers for the new bar taps, like the one in the first photo, so headed over to the pile of stuff from my dad that I'm still sorting through. I didn't find washers big enough, but I did find these.

Are they some kind of thread chaser?

They go in a pipe threader.

However I’ve seen them held in a tool post on a lathe to do external threading

A new handbag tool tote for work..

Since the 'C' word reared its head and returning to work last August I've bought my own tools to use at school so I don't have to share tools with them. I've struggled to find something that'll hold things as well as this £25 C K Magma 3 in 1 tote; tenon saw, steel rule, marking gauge, speed clamps, chisels - and all the other crap needed for the job. We don't have our own classrooms or workshops at my school so move several times a day - teachers that do are totally unaware of how lucky they are!

Trend mini saw and er11 c10 chuck. This one turns out to be solid, which is nice. I may get another to turn down and live in the die grinder - which is rubish gripping anything than a perfect 6.00mm shank. The 6-3mm reducer that came with it is unusable with burrs constantly pulling out.

Ha no it makes swapping them for repetative jobs much quicker. There are a few more in the cupboard lol.

Today I was given a pair of welding cables. I like the rod holder.
Edit: I also acquired another injury doing blockwork on my garage project. Thankfully, that part of the construction is complete.

They are similar to the dies that go into a pipe threader, but the ones he shows do not go into a pipe threader. First, because none of them are pipe threads (9/16 - 16 is standard BSF and left hand to boot) and second because Mr Alfred Herbert, of the AH initial inscribed upon them, was rather more well known for his Coventry die heads.

There is a book, called 'The book of the Coventry die head' that will help you identify which particular die head they will fit.

Imperial spanners and bits and bobs.

Two miles up the road, less than £20 quid the lot. He had to be forced to take it.

Quite a haul, don't think I need any more now.

Drain plug key, King Dick (what's that for?), and Elora brake wrench and Williams superslim brake spanner.

13 I suspect Whitworth spanners. A Britool Imperial spanner and 'Foreign'.

Elora, Bedford and West German.

Except the big Elora, all Geodore No' 2.

Elora 100 set.

Geodore No' 6 set.

And a solid toolbox earliest sticker on the other side dates 1972, so three years younger than me.

Trucks used to have level plugs on the diff and gearbox that needed one of those, I still have my homemade one
