Yesterday I saved this Flat Free wheelbarrow wheel from a skip!

I had to cut it out as the wheelbarrow was as flat as a pancake! Looked like a steam roller got at it.
It's probably too big for my barrow but still worth having.

Today I acquired a few bricks to finish some details in my garage build, and a Kawasaki ZZR-600 kick stand which I'm going to attempt to modify to attach to my Bantam bike; I like a side stand.

Half a dozen of F-clamps from Zoro, with the the perfunctory discount readily available on this forum, and some M12 nuts and bolts; the clamps will be butchered to make some hold-down clamps I prototyped with a cheap Lidl clamp the other day - bearings and 40mm dia laser cut steel discs incoming next week.



Also thought I'd give some of their own-brand (Cromwell) pocket books a go for home and work; they're only a couple of quid each - do have a wee Zeuss one somewhere, but goodness somewhere!

More like bad foot saving
It's for getting from my parked van to site, often a 20 minute walk with a heavy tool filled rucksack.
It's surprisingly quick!

Today I aquired - a pallet truck. It's been abandoned on site for about 9 months after breaking down and the owner who replaced it months ago had the choice of paying someone to recover it or giving it away to someone to dispose of.



"If you can get it off site Pete you can have it"

I loaded it onto our own pallet truck (with some difficulty) and got it to a charging point. After a quick charge-up it goes up and down but won't respond to the driving controls. The handle is also free to fall to the floor instead of being sprung loaded so I suspect that something is bust in the handle pivot and it thinks the handle is permanently 'up' which would invoke motor stop.

Hope so anyway because I just checked out the model and they are 5 grand to buy new!
