a "certified" electrician wired in some 3 phase motors for a project recently. We came to switch them on, and tripped the overloads on all 3 motors. Turned out he'd connected the wires to the wrong 3 terminals, which were connected together in Star configuration. Blatently obvious... but you can't fix stupid
They had to learn most of what was actually useful for their job from us time served fitters without a qualification to our names!
Look on your local freecycle site if you join put a wanted advert on there.Wish people would throw Henry away near me id love one for the garage
Not acquired anything recently
It won't be going anywhere now though!, It came with the original inner and outer box with paperwork and spare links for £145
Hopefully there was not a fuse fitted to the plug !!!There's potential for someone to strip the ends of the cable - plug it in and you have a murder weapon....![]()
[if you can persuade your victim to stand really close to a socket....

I get that, I really do... this was the problem with these contractors... but two issues for me:Unless they have served their time as a plant electrician or fitter most sparks don't have a clue about wiring electric motors.

More Silverline pain inducers, and an angle grinder without a guard !The evils of going into a local goody shop for 4 machine screws.
