I bought one of these generic worklamps from toolstation:

This was after buying three (I think) of these things over the years:

I hate the £11.50 ones - unreliable, and always dropping them (which probably contributes to their unreliability).
No idea why I kept buying them.
So the toolstation one is a lot better, but still really fiddly.
So, pt. 2, I splurged £52 on this last week:

and it is flipping brilliant (pun intended!)
Incredibly bright - turns the backgarden into daylight, swivels 140 degrees and runs on the Dewalt XR batteries.
It seems really sturdy and is easy to use. Pull the trigger once for full-sun, again for semi-sun, and once more to turn off.
I was using it yesterday to light up the kit I was welding and also on the mill, to make sure I was hitting the punch marks with the drill.
Never thought I'd drop £50 on a torch, but it's as true for torches as it is for all tools: buy cheap, buy often...

It's a shared torch but my favourite now for the wee spur marks off that trip but now looks like a damaged pet taken to the Supervet with masking tape holding the 360° rotation together as for no apparent reason it took a 7ft dive from a perfectly good Mustang steel floorpan to the ground. I call it Christine now and treat it with respect.
