It does seem that way. It doesn't help them as I won't buy something at 4 times the price I have seen someone else buy it for!

I get the feeling that they survive by the phrase " If at first you don't succeed etc " Persistent B*******s .
I tend to use layers of bubble wrap, cardboard etc to try to prevent a heavy object escaping its packaging and thus its address.Marked JB and 28 lbs., it actually weighs thirty one pounds. There's some rust but it appears unused, as I can't see any hammer marks on the surface or edges. 315 mm long, 67 mm wide, 65mm high, its a good size for a bench top anvil. The bubble wrap to protect it during shipping was a nice touch but had me laughing.

Just to see what happened, I ran the search again today. The same chuck at £51 was now (wait for it...) £114!
I then went up to my workshop and pulled out an old Pratt and Bernard from its hiding place and decided to use that on the rotary table

Today a set of old turning rolls arrived for refurbishment.
Looks in tidy nick and someone has already converted the controller to a VFD. Time for a clean up, sort out the cables and the broken pendant and she’s a runner.

Not bothered about that, important bit is if they don't know your ip address or MAC they don't know how many times you have looked at a product and can not bump up the price on subsequent visits.Pigeon_Droppings2

Travel companies are bad for bumping prices...Amazon I think the prices vary a lot. I use a site called "camel camel" to track amazon prices....I always check if it's something expensive as it will tell you historic prices for stuff.
I bought a pillar drill on Amazon...got it for a really good price. Told my mate who dithered for a day....went up £100!

I reasoned that the money that I could have spent on a secondhand carb, around £60, in effect means that the cleaner has only cost me £30. Assuming, that is, that it achieves the desired result
