Finished, I drilled and reamed the bores that take the cartridge valves so hopefully that's good enough.

Looks like the sealing surfaces came out with a good finnish. Is it aluminium now?

If you assemble the manifolds soak the cartridges in oil before putting them in. Remove them once and check seals before final assembly.

Yes they are aluminium, they always were. The original one's are aluminium too.

I'll give the cartridges a good soaking in oil before I fit them.

Yeh they were pretty rough, I thought they had been dragged out of the sea. It turns out they are off a Powerfab mini digger.

Often see the likes of that on the boats, water(especially salt), aluminium and steel do not mix well, especially for the aluminium

Well the person I made the valve blocks for has fitted them and reported back that everything is working fine now. Always nice to know it's been a success!
