I think they went out of general use, if any doubt, change the plugs, there was always the possibility of sand left in them & it eroded the china around the electrode.

Yep. I've been wanting one for years, but they all got put in skips a long time ago.

Does anyone recognise this? it’s now mine . Spencer has done a really good job. His attention to detail is fantastic.

The right hand plug viewing glass needs cleaning! I did decide to investigate as I swapped over the left plug and it gave similar results despite the test gap being strong. I’ll tidy up the machine later on.
