"Cleared" of what? It did happen, Rosberg was not going to improve his lap, Hamilton behind was on a hot lap, Rosberg did park his car so as to cause a yellow flag.

You would have to "believe" he was not in control of his car. I don't believe it and having seen it countless times, I can't believe any one else would fall for it either.

Anyone actually considered the guy likes driving the wheels of a racing car - which is the impression I've got from watching a lot of his races through his career. He doesn't need to be worried about anyone in the same car - he's beaten all comers - Jensen being the exception one year.

You look back in his career, and he got a lot crap because of his colour - and I reckon thats the reason why he's such an impressive race car driver - his superb answer was to shove it up the racist Tw*ts bottom! And for that I still cheer him on. I don't really care if he looks like a colour blind clothes horse with his fashion choices, has rappers as friends, and lectures on anything - you don't have to listen after all.

What these hyper rich sports chaps are banking on is that the fans "support" is tacit acceptance of whatever political ******** they're virtue signalling this week. Works ok when they're in front of a virtual crowd, they're gonna get a shock when large numbers of normal people sit down in front of them to watch sport and end up being lectured...

F1 drivers and top sportsmen generally, are living in a little fantasy bubble and that insulation from reality is only heightened by the covid restrictions. It will be a sight to see when that bubble is burst.

Sorry, can't agree with that. I'd gladly stand corrected but I'd like to see some examples of that. Remember, he was taken under McLaren's arm when he was 13 and there was no way 'Big Ron' was going to let anything happen to him in any way, shape or form.

Must have been Sammy Davis Junior as it was obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse what Rosberg did.

I don't know if Lewis was hampered to be fair. It seemed so at the time and when Rosberg announced his retirement I felt that was slam dunk.
BUT I don't believe GR had Bottas tyres put on the car as premeditated.....my gut feeling says no. The evidence at the time that I watched live says no (to me anyway) and I am a Lewis Hamilton fan.

However I have only watched P1 today because I was waiting to get my wife dressed. I have not watched P2 and have very little interest until next season now LH is back in the car.

To my mind the drivers line up in F1 is becoming a joke. Raikenen pointless now. Albion I could do a better job. Pay as you go drivers becoming the norm now.
F1 cars are the pinnacle of Motorsport. The drivers should be also.

I thoroughly enjoyed last weekends race.....ICBA this weekend and I know many others who will use their time more widely. Dead Rubbers are always boring.

I don't care what he looks or dresses like. But I have not been aware of Lewis getting **** because of his colour. I am sure on a personal level he will have suffered abuse but until he went on this knee thing I had forgotten he was Black if you see when I mean.

And just witness the outpouring of love for George Russell (who, to be fair I think is the real deal) - it's like 'at last, a white British F1 driver who can replace Lewis Hamilton'.

I have no way of knowing if what you think is correct. Other than if it had been the other way round I think it's the new blood (the unknown) I would have been supporting Lewis. I guess it's hard for people who are not racist to even think other people are.

He whines like a teenager on the radio when things aren't going his way, put his personal politics front and centre despite no-one requesting them and has given anodyne interviews to the media for the whole of his career. LH doesn't pass the "Would you want to go for a drink with the bloke test." IMO.

That is the most accurate description of the world as it stands.
And the situation Lewis has created for himself.
So many times I hear a description of a person being claimed as racist when it's not. And this just hides real racism which is just plain wrong.
Just a quick example.
3 people in the street standing talking. One is Fat .One is black and One is a woman. Is that a racist comment.?

One of them stopped a mugger stealing a hand bag belonging to one of them. The police turn up and ask me to identify him. Would my reply be racist if I said it was the black guy??
Oh btw the hand bag belonged to the fat guy who was also gay. But my description of him was not gay just "fat" as that was a visible difference.

Is it me who has it wrong or is the term racist now changed its meaning.

In fairness I don't think that white people can fully comprehend the scale of incessant low-level, often unintentioned racism that non-white folk suffer. My wife and a couple of my friends are Asian and they can all recount endless instances of stuff that ranges from casual unknowing racist actions to full-blown in your face stuff. The old phrase 'walk a mile in my shoes' springs to mind. And while Lewis now moves in circles that none of us have experience of, I'm sure there were plenty of such incidents on his way up. And the racism that doen't speak its name, manifested in sniping about his every action or inaction, still persists.
