Almost forgot, after the break in the kennels became a bit of a priority. Tools can be replaced, but good luck on getting to them.

Fabricobbled together out of the scrap that was kicking around in suitable lengths.

I built my kennels *around* my workshop.

The two dogs i had at the time had a reputation amongst the local smackhead population.

99mm deep bore in 102mm long round and the bar held by less than an inch.
A quick test it works well. Plenty of magnet power gets through.

Today I made a couple of stainless panels for the donkey engine controls for the two new Cats I will be fitting out shortly.
The tab feature in Fusion is brilliant and so easy to use. It means when cutting right through you can leave wee tabs so the inside bits don't pop out and snap a cutter. Once removed from the table they are fairly easy to break free although stainless is a bit tougher than aluminium or steel.

I then got two sheets of 8mm aluminium onto the plasma and cut out some parts for the roller system for the Cats.

Took a vid of it cutting, it is filmed through the Optrel Crystal and although still not perfect it does give an idea how clear the Crystals are.

Not nearly so adventurous as @Hood today, I knocked out half a dozen idler pulleys to replace the pretty crappy washing line idler pulleys on the new target changer system. Bracketry tomorrow:

So...here’s the erection complete as far as my metalwork concerned c/w tie bars.
I wish I knew how to make the bars in one piece,compound angles each end,where it fits to the bolted flanges.

A mess. Scraped off the bituminous sound deadening from the DS engine bay. I also removed all the hydraulic lines in readiness to re-plumb the hydraulics, takes about 30m of 4.5mm Kunifer. And the cam action flaring tool I bought for my Frogeye Sprite (and never used) won't do Citroen flares. So now I have both types.

Some blue swarf. Cant find my
pea shooter anywhere and it was rubbish. Had a cheap flow meter that I dont use so repurposed.

Cap and plunger for swarf wand. Tested magnets they lift 6+kg each, reduced to 1kg in the tube, so I put two in lifts 2kg.

PCD inserts great on alu.

Body done.

I did, using stones. I also lapped both parts against each other with lapping fluid. I think it might be overkill though.

Yup .. request for teeth on a basket grab , sometimes you do have to wonder what they're thinking . Sometimes I regret asking , sometimes I don't ask , this time I didn't ask , if it comes back in two parts they can buy a new one .

For us that's one of the light ones , I selected that as it's going on a machine that has a tool weight limit of 2.7 ton . We have them three times that size .

Such as that beast 8.5 ton of mechanical pulveriser , specified it to be as indestructible as possible , the man didn't let us down haha
