as a get by ive put a strips of 1mm steel in the hole , full depth and just beat the bolt in , not ideal and certainly no use if the bolt is in tension , however if its in shear and there are three others it will get you by . I dont actually like Thunderbolts at all .

I'm not a fan either. Same goes for any concrete screws il take plugs or chem over them everytime

You have to be spot on with the drill size. A new drill bit, in once and once to clear is perfect. Too much wiggling about and it's too big, a worn bit and they bind.
Easiest solution, get the next size up. If you chemical anchor it in, you won't be able to put any torque on it, will you?

not got any gold lying around sadly, i’m more of a silver man myself
i must use dozens of thunderbolts every week, very rarely do we get any issues with them.
also use heaps of resin anchors as well!

I often rattle up thunderbolts with the impact gun and only ever had one pull out.
I put in a longer one and it worked OK. It was dead tight the hole way in. It was from a different place and it looked and felt far bet quality. The threads was far deeper for more grip. I think this is the ones I'll use in future.
It was in a steel door frame and six of them used so the pressure wasn't pulling them out but side ways so they wouldn't go anywhere.
The frame hole you tightened through wasn't in line with the frame hole in the wall and it was a nightmare.
I couldn't use the anchor one with bolt coz the bolt was at an angle till it went in far enough.

From what I see theirs a big difference in quality and how deep the threaded bit cuts in.
But if theirs not too much stress I use them quite a bit.
