Today I made my home made 125x 8mm box look more like 125 x 6mm box.
The thicker wall the box has the rounder the corners and as I was trying to match this I ran a few beads on the corners
and sanded most of it off to give me a squarer looking box section.
Then finished making the repair piece for the jack leg and trial fit.
A few tweaks and welded it on
Even gave it a rattle with a bristle blaster and a lick of Jotun

Today I made (or at least sort-of-finished-making) a plank of wood out of lots of offcuts of four different hardwoods, all cut into equal width strips and glued together:
It's a bit over 240 mm deep, about 820 mm long and about 9 mm thick. The plan is currently to trim it into a rounded-rectangle sort of shape and use it as a monitor stand for my two monitors, but having seen it, I'm wondering if it might be a bit of a shame to cover a significant proportion of it with the bases of the two monitors, so I might use it for something else.
There are quite a few imperfections (and a couple of aligned joints that I tried really hard to avoid, but must have done something wrong in the glue-up), but as this was my first attempt at something like that, I'm really pleased with how it has come out.

Replaced the diaphragms and the primer pump on my friend Husqvarna chainsaw
Can't understand why you love those things....
3 hours spent to figure out the way to extract the carburettor from the chainsaw .
After struggling with it because no fuel was flowing through it , assembled disassemble it at least 10 times ,I've managed to make it working .
But I had to delay the carb tuning to tomorrow
Otherwise I would catch a bullet shot from a neighbor
I've accomplished to get it running 10 minutes ago

But of arc welding today, happily the photos don't do justice, ha, ha, 14 ton rated ring pull, 60 x60 x4 wedged the nose after I cut it down with a grinder to fit in the box, stuck some scrap in to fill the vertical height.
Covered it in multiple runs of 3.2 6013, I liked the penetration, worked for me, my welds are generally over done.
The other rusty shorter one is one I did years ago with my Oxford lump, this was with an italian? Inverter.
Can't really say I notice the difference.
But I'm an occasional welder.

Thanks! Spent this morning doing some filing to get things realigned and it's back to previous accuracy but have enquired about a replacement bracket.
The clamp at the rear is a Milwaukee Torque Lock clamp and the two wee ones (the ones I'm sure you're asking about) are small Kant Twist clamps that I bought several years ago from MSC Direct. They're very handy!

@arther dailey Nae worries! Just popped out to grab one as I wasn't sure; mine are the model 405 / 2" clamp. In an ideal world I'd have a selection, alas two of these will have to suffice!

It’s an XT500 trail bike but it’s been used for classic motocross.

, I’ve got an english wheel and a shrinker/stretcher setup so I wheeled the top and shrunk the back edge to get it to suck down over the edge. Once it was close I annealed it with a MAP torch and hammered the last bit over a form.
