Funny you should say that Bob, we’ve got a lad that rides a moped through the village most days, always flat out with a grin despite a 30 limit; anyway i was out today rather than in the workshop when he passed me and blow me got a whiff of Castrol R! I’ve forgiven him for being a speeding little numptie for today
Not sure how long his little two stroke will last running on that...

I love the smell of that a mate puts it in his mg midget racer with the fuel, dont know what its doing to the engine but it smells good.

POC used to come to a pub near us every year for their August bank holiday meet - good and bad times. Good because they were a great old bunch, bad because it signalled the end of the summer.

Who remembers the cartoon in Bike magazine, Motorcycle clubs five a side tournament? Five skinny blokes in yamaha shirts, one is saying "We are done for lads we just drew the Panther owners club" & there are five old boys standing there wit flat caps, pipes & enormous right legs.

Velo"s had a very short stroke kick start, Had to ease them over to just before compression, before giving them a strong kick, Couple of my mates had them, both frames cracked with the vibration!!

The tester at our local bike shop broke his foot starting an old BSA, the kickback launched him off the side of the bike. He never walked properly again. That's back when testers rode a bike a few hundred yards down the road and back, job done

great video! With that looooong first gear, presumably has the same RRT2 gearbox as on a mate's Road Rocket twin that I took for a ride back in my yoof.

Had a Venom mate had a gold star lent it to a German MC lady to try she was on holiday came back an hour later very wet & less the bike it was in a rhyne (ditch to you Northerners, reen to the Welsh)
He was very Laid back about it

I did buy stuff COD, I remember getting stuff by post COD. But I also got stuff from the railway station.
I bought an almost complete bike, private sale, the owner took it to his local train station and I went to the station and collected it and paid for it.

Biggest problem with COD was spending the money before the parcel arrived.

I hated waiting for parts and have hitched across to the other side of the country to
collect parts. Hitching back with an A10 engine isn't recommended;-)
