I was thinking about posting a link on here somewhere when they get it up and running, however, they are looking to recruit locally, for a few pretty reasonable reasons to be fair. But we are going to be looking for over 18's as it makes life a bit easier.
Maybe not UK owned but there's still a hell of a lot of UK based car industry in the UK. Whatever your opinion of Top Gear / Clarkson you've got something wrong if you're not proud of what they managed to do to demonstrate stuff manufactured in Britain:
Didn't have the opportunity to do the same but when at my previous work did have the (I think) deputy director of a US based government organisation come over and give a talk to our small team. They'd been under a directive to source equipment from US companies when it was used for security of the nation. His response to the higher up's was fine - we'll do that but we'll be going back a few decades in technology then... They weren't particularly happy when they received that memo and questioned him on it. He simply stated that this small team in Britain was decades beyond what any company in the US could do in this particular field. They acquiesced and kept buying equipment from us.

Would have packed up and done like one Sheppard said to the other if a customer did that to meI had a customer nearly fry my apprentice 30 years ago turned the db off and taped over the switch so it couldn't be turned back on then left the apprentice working while I slipped away for gear . I came back and he said he just got a shock of the sockets
it was when I worked for a firm and my boss was a bum licker and grovelled to him
- the inevitable happened and his feet got mangled in it. He wasn’t exactly a new kid on the block (Late 30’s) - he had been doing the job for years and knew the score. Now call me old fashioned but I wouldn’t have put my feet anywhere near machinery like that - but he claimed he wasn’t given the right training and the courts sided with him. He got a massive sum of compensation, (he later ended up losing his lower leg) and it was obviously a horrible thing to happen - but to me it seemed ludicrous that someone didn’t sit down and say “ok you made a conscious decision to do this, you have to take some responsibility for your actions”.

Not long after I left school I worked for an electrician, one man band, a bit of a difficult cuss. We were rewiring a large church hall place & he left me making off a ring main junction box. I had been doing this for a few minutes & suddenly BANG, electric shock, burnt fingers! The guy came back & said “I turned it on as I thought you’d be finished by now” I should have walked there & then. After a few months he sacked me for wiring a 2 way switch incorrectly, I was replacing a switch, & nothing was coloured, 3 blacks & I got it wrong. He sacked me on the spot, I had to walk 6 miles home & he drove past me on his way back. I loved winding him up to see if he would sack me as I had the money and contacts to start on my own but he wouldn't months later he was doing my head in so I told him to stick it and walked out and worked for myself the last 25 years
