Hmmm, I have a kettle and a wick plus a glass flute somewhere....

Would you like an old tobacco tin Ardvark ? I see you like to clean them up. I may be able to find another type of tin too.
I used to smoke Three Nuns ; used to buy it in Bookers but they had the health warnings on them.
Smaller tins which I have sadly lost when we moved home.

Back in the 60's you could get a set of spanners the same as that. There were about 6 in the set all held together with a spring clip, black finish and very reasonably priced. If memory serves they came in a red cardboard carton.

Just this evening collected a large ultrasonic cleaner from work. Looking forward to using it. It’s been wrapped in polythene in a shed for a few years. I’m hoping it still works.

240v powered - and again (as with the burnisher) much bigger and chunkier than i was expecting.
Not used in anger, but it seems solid, and well-built- and will do the job i bought it for (removing excess weld from internal corners in angle iron).

Just need to order a pointy-cone tungsten carbide bit now...

Got one of these. Works well but just annoying its 6mm chuck rather than 1/4".

I've been looking at one of those katsu drum sander/burnisher things now, having seen it used on that road plate. Very tempted, lots of different drums available, although they are not particularly cheap (the additional drums), it does look like a pretty useful thing though.

they will even at slower speeds I have a slither of bronze in my thumb that I cant remove tried digging it out with a Stanley knife and dug in deep but it wont remove . it skins over and leaves a lump and hurts I just slice the hard corn of skin off every few month

A man I served my time with got a brass splinter in one of his fingers, didn't bother about it and it turned very nasty and infected, Hospital whittled half his finger away, Still the right length but 50% of the width missing, It did sort of match his usual white ghost like appearance, His nick name suited him perfectly "Willy Death" come to think of it I never did know his real surname,
P.S. same man used to make some cracking earo engines from scratch for his model air planes.

I made a speed controller a while ago, i'll use that if it ever becomes neccessary.

I did something like that with a dremmel once. Ended up with a cut off wheel stuck in my chest and scar to prove. Not posting on here though haha.

I have one of them, great bit of kit.

Get your self a nice long square and check the blade for true. It can be adjusted, but SIP will not tell you how. But it is clear when you look underneath.
The dust shoot can clog, but a gentle tap will free it.

Set up the angle pointers, they move, Loctite will solve that.

Did you get the stand?

It looks like a clone of a Makita. Makita sell 1/4" collets (and 3mm and 1/8") as a spare part.

I will let you into a secret: we are a metric country in the UK. China or Japan, the origin of the tool you have, are also metric countries. If you want to buy native imperial stuff, you have to up sticks and go live in mad Uncle Don's funpark.
