..........sticking solid neoprene rubber strip to bare aluminium.
Whats it for,to go on top of the roof bars/rack on the van,to give a little grip but most of all to lessen that screeeeeeeeech when sliding the ally ladder off them,most annoying

Tec7 sticks every thing to anything ,, if it wont stick it it needed a rivet.
Just dont ever try to un stick it ,,, and treat your self to a tin of the cleaner / remover at the same time , incase you smudge it a bit ,, this stuff will not clean up with a rag ,, and you cant wet your finger to put a nice curve on a corner , you need the cleaner to wet your finger with.
The clear one isnt as good as a glue , black is the one i use most of.
Id probably stick a few pop rivets in it as well

Superglue will do the job.
Degrease the aluminium - roughen it up and is should be fine.

There is a honey colour sort of translucent double sided tape made by 3m that would do the job too , ive used it in the past ,, dont know what its called , ive a roll in the workshop there may be a number on it , its really good too , coach builders use it to put the roof section on trailers 45 ft trailers.

3m vhb tape for stuff like that. Quick and easy.
If you have not got the rubber yet you can buy it with adhesive backing already attached.
I wipe the alloy with acetone but that's the only prep it gets.

NO ,,, tec 7 ,,, its not tiger seal ,,, ive used both , the only thing that comes close to tec 7 is sikaflex i think its 221 or 241 from memory ,,, if you want it done buy the real thing.

il second that stuff just wear the gloves though when using it. it will not come off even with thinners I got covered in it

their thinner / cleaner does your hands too ,, its the only product i use that I actually buy the genuine cleaner for , it really is an amazing product.

Tec 7 is a sealant though yes?
They tend to work well on large surface areas I find - not so good on smaller high load things.

If it comes out of a tube that has anything else on it but tec7 ... it isnt tec 7 .

Working round landrovers etc , a fair few of the replacement panels are glued on , Ive never had a problem with Tec7 , some times the guys i work for buy Tiger seal , CT1 and all sorts of goo ,,,,, It still isnt tec 7 its just what ever the local motor factors can make the most proffit on .
