Don't worry, when the beer gardens open again and we're allowed to go off on holiday the rains will return

Was doing some welding in the garden the other day, fully covered, mask and gloves etc, very hot work, don't know how you pro welders do it all day kitted out in PPE in these weathers.

I'm loving it, we're BBQing more often than not, swimming in a pond in a local park, cold beers and iced coffee, life's good here.

Only downside is I'm supposed to be indoors revising for exams in a couple of days.

Haven't seen rats but everyone says there's pike in there. All I've seen is perch plus one big (Three foot ish) black fish, don't have a clue what it was, looked like a shark.

Someone told me there's an urban legend that some uni researchers dumped a wels catfish twenty or so years ago and he's still lurking in the depths.

I get up in the morning, look out the window and think how lucky I am to be able to see what the weather is.

Face it, there FA you can do about it, and while it can be a bit of an inconvenience, but its hardly going to kill you is it.

Yes, TV presenters have about the same level of scientific education as your average neolithic caveman ( sorry, 'caveperson').

Don't disagree with you at all not that silly, However some rather rich middle eastern folks like a bit of rain but living in the desert it's quite rare. So throw some money at it seed the clouds and make it rain.

I’ve done much work with the post office and know they comply with manual handling regs.

The union won’t “officially” allow anyone to carry “extremely heavy” bags

What we're supposed to do and what they really expect us to do are very different, trust me.
If we used the lightweight trolley we'd go over our time every day or bring stuff back.
The favourite one.... "you must take your break".... yeah, right oh.

with it being dry have to water all our hanging baskets and tubs twice daily . just been talking to neighbour . had his garden landscaped 20 grand and has loads of plants . he said yea just watering all of mine there all sagging soft git only been watering them every other day the good lord must have been economical with the brains when he handed them out

i can sleep in most heat except that red hot summer we had years ago no chance of sleep in that heatwave

ive spent many a time getting burnt on the red hot slates on a roof even the butt cheeks got burnt sat on top of the ridges

cooked with building dormers just like a sauna up there

even i had my hair streaked it was too much for dark hair

nowadays i tend to avoid the sun a little more but have sunbathed in it

yet it was in 1976 when it was really hot for a few weeks i always remembered we all went swimming in the Derwent damn where they trained for the dam busters
