I love ally mixed with other metals and wood, i have kept so many odd bits for when i can ally weld but i am a bit far off it yet.

TIG filler rod and ARC electrode holders made out of solvent weld fittings. Even got the printer out to make labels for them.

Used information from this website on recommendations for the holders. Thanks to all that contributed in these posts.

I acquired a large pressure vessel off a mate who owns a plumbing business, so set to work taking out the bladder and cutting in half....(this was done a couple of weeks ago)

Got the missus to do her artistic bit and draw some insect shapes, and cut them out today. The coating was horrible and plasticky, but I think the shapes work quite well. Next to get a good fire in there to get the rest of coating off, and a clean up of the cuts and dross. Then a coat of high temp paint and see how it looks

Not actually made just repaired the N1 & rotor tach they both failed while stood waiting for turbine to come back from re build.
Started by checking N1 tacho drive generator one winding had gone O\C great simple replace still no go pinged wires to TB7 ok removed rear roof trims to access rotor tach generator checked this O\K pinged wiring to TB7 ok removed consul trim & pulled dual tach gauge out pinged all 4 wires from TB7 to gauge plug OK Strange pinged from generators through to plug on dual gauge seemed ok just though \ noticed a slight flicker of meter did test 2\3 times seemed ok scratch head remove plug shroud wires are heat shrunk over pin solder bucket gave Wires a good pull A & E came away both broken re made all 5 connections ran turbine Happy Days re assemble & fly to do T&B
The continuity tests was ok must have just been enough pressure pushing test pin onto plug to connect, had to pull harder than I expected to pull them out of Shrink tube
