So my dad and I bought a Mk1 Mr2 cheap as a bit of father/son project. I'm working on the front, he is in the boot and give out a "wtf" He then asked why there was 2 coils in the boot under the carpet.
Followed the plug lead down and low and behold..... Car mounted potato warmers

wonder f it was an import ,,, looked at a gt4 carlos sainz celica with the same idea going on ,, I bought a vr6 corrado instead.

agreed. although from experience you can rag those engines all day and night and they won’t blink an eye.

Its so you can burn what ever you choose to get into the exhaust ,,,, an old army trick for clearing sheep of the ranges was to drive a petrol land rover at about forty mph , then turn the ignition off , the engine sucked the now unburned fuel through the engine into the exhaust , then after a few seconds while still rolling on , probably at about 20mph turn the ignition on ,,, huge bang as the fuel burned , and the sheep run away ,,, perfect
or huge bang ,, the exhaust explodes , and you get an nm&d ,,, negligence miss use and damage charge .

Next time I have some teenager tailgating me, whilst squinting under the top of his steering wheel, I'll wish I had one of these installed. Doubt they work on a diesel, so propane bottle it would have to be.

I saw a girl drive past me a couple of days ago, chavmobile, pop and bang tune, definitely viewing the world from underneath the top of her steering wheel.

There was an old lady in the next village, that needed 3 cushions on the seat so she could reach the pedals and see over the dash. All you saw as her massive merc came trundling towards you were a pair of hands on the wheel.
