Lots of threaded knobs available, but now all metric. I found an M10 knob on the 1/2" shaft looked better-sized and where the shaft and knob meet, is a smoother transition. Remaking the shaft in stainless and finishing it so it looks like satin chrome is also good.
For a more personal touch, I have seen pool balls and golf balls used.

The 4 Allan bolts were recessed into the wood. A standard Flat6 bit was used for the main hole. The hole for the shank was, again with a flat bit. But with a bit and brace.
Why?
It was a Bit and brace bit, I had just sharpened it and why not.

My friend is arguing that I did not use all the bits, so this challenge was not completed.
I am going to turn those bits into charcoal.
You could turn them in to hanging wind chimes and drive her daft in the early hours each day . " Clonk . clonk clong soddig clong " sort of wind chimes

Today a parcel arrive from Poland, the contents as per pic below.
The part number does not come up on the Metrol site because it is seemingly made for Mazak. Because of that I had no idea what the wiring requirements were so I opened it up and found it required a 24v, 0v and the output was +24v. Sadly that is no use for my control so I had to snip out the wee circuit board.
I then metered the wires into switch pairs and LED pair and then was able to wire them all in series.
It is now back together and working like my control needs, the input of my control is sourcing so the 24v comes into the brown wire from the Input and goes to 0v via the blue wire.
Now ready to fit if and when I need it

A busy day was had by the TYA.
@slim_boy_fat No challenges, yet.
Well, the one I set myself. To get the last Tilly Lamp working. Parts arrived this week, No I collected the bits.
This lamp has being a difficult case. All the separate parts worked on a know good one. As did the know parts worked on the patient. But not as an original build. Much head scratching.
The cap was dead. So I had a new " old one" in the parts, so it was rebuilt and a new Mantle. Thank you @DAPPH for the tips.
The burner was cleaned and fitted to the new cap and tested.
Again, working on a known good one, but not on the original.
Next, Vaporiser.
New stock, they test them before they send them out.
Old RHS.
This was the main problem.
The new one works on both, but the old only works on a good one.
Next, the control valve.
This had issues, but it would stop the old vaporizer working. Striped down. Nothing shouted at me to say what the issue was. but I had the bits, so we used the items.
So did it work?
OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Must put the black lid onto the RHS.
But one happy TYA.

They have been used by me. But they looked good as wall decoration.
But time has taken it's toll.
Last of my Pitch pine, shaped to fit my hands. The original fixings have been saved, but need a host more attention to be od use.
The metal work cleaned. Yes, I did dress the teeth. Not that they needed much. The worse was the top one and the starting teeth.
Metal was cleaned, rusted treated and painted. In todays sun, it didn't take long to get 4 coats on.
Back in place.
The original Brass screws and cups were reused.
Shifted to the right.
Yes, it is a quote from Wonko the Sane.

I need to made some Wad punches, for a possible project.
The red tube was donated by Mr @Chillitt
This was liberated from my metal pile.
A sharp edge was put on both with a grinder and finally with the SIP wet stone grinder I have.
Both then were heated cherry red, quenched into old engine oil. The smell, the smoke and the sound is great.
They then were again placed onto the wet stone and cleaned to a dull shine. Heated from about 1" down and the blue colour was pushed up until the whole cutting edge was indirectly heated blue. Quench in cold slated water and tested.
Looking good.

Found a round tuit and refitted my lathe belt guard, which came off around novemeber. It still needs a bit of work plus repainting a different colour.

Not really something I've made but something I've done, new wheel bearing which involved stripping the front suspension after much battering on steel parts inserted in an aluminium upright, best bit is its only a year since it was last in bits and everything was greased.
