Remember this, my Dad's old 110 block plane.


After a bit of work it now looks like this


Not restored by any stretch but back into a usable condition. There is no indication of manufacturer cast into the plane just 110, I remember using it when I was around ten or so in the mid 1970's and it was no where near new then so I would guess it is a 1950's version of this model.

I have a project in mind that would want a spun top, having some copper sheet kicking about, I made up a former and did a bit of experimenting...

Nearly finished insulating containerjust need to finsh stacking beams and clean/sort re fill ,you know how it goes, get rid of some and make some room , doors to do but out of insulation now so that will have to wait.

After an hour or so at the 'puter finalising dimensions I enjoyed a few hours in the workshop cutting and getting set up for the closest I've ever come to a production run! Horizontal bars across the windows in the workshop to beef up security as we're a bit more wary since it seems someone tried to nick the trailer.

Made up a brake pipe & bled the brakes on an MX5 track car me & my brother have been working on.

Got to drill & bolt in the roll bar cage next

Will be good fun when it's up & running

Found an old spanner at my mums. I think it belonged to my granddad. Decided to give it new lease of life. Following a scrub and electrolysis. Found a name on it “blackbird” so once it was clean I used gun blue, to make it black.
