Can anyone identify the items 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 so i can buy the bits i need? Ideally DIN rail mount where possible. RS components is a whole new world to me!
Thanks!
Thanks!
1= contactor or relay with 24 volt coil (normally open)
2= transformer 240v primary 24v secondary or 12-0-12
3= timer relay
4= looks like a contactor lilkely with 24 coil as the rest of the control lines are 24v
5= potentiometer
There's no values on any so it's difficult to give more exact information but most is made up of standard stuff. You need the VA rating required for the transformer and the value for the potentiometer. This will probably be with the VFD information.
The diagram doesn’t seem to quite tally up with the picture...
The diagram doesn’t seem to quite tally up with the picture - the diagram shows a 24v ac control supply (powered by the 240-24 volt transformer) where the picture has a dc supply. Not a massive difference but you’ll need to pick one or the other and source your relays to suit.
I don't think the diagram is Paul's, expect it is what he is wanting to replicate.

I think the circuit diagram above assumes the suds motor is single phase, this one is 3 phase. So that could be a little hurdle.
No, it's three phase, but has a capacitor to fool it into thinking it is single phase.
Does it need two - a start capacitor and a run capacitor?
