Made a barley field yesterday... also made a nightime run to the neighbours to borrow a bucket of seed barley as I'd ran out just before the end 
Only thing in these pictures that I didn't spec for our farm was the tractor itself, I've spent way too much time keeping it going though, it's a great tractor to drive but a bit of a lemon unfortunately.
I love this sort of thing, I wish i did it for a living! So satisfying when all the gear you've repaired/modified all comes together and works without an issue

I would like to extend my markers to centre ,I've only ever drilled two fields in my life but I already hate wheel track markers!
I also have a 3m accord DA for the Kuhn power harrow, but this 4370 has a problem with its hydraulics and struggles to lift anything properly heavy and our other tractors aren't man enough. It's on my list of things to get around to.
The 4m DL drill worked well enough though, and tramlining was a doddle.

Yeah autosteer, only run the markers to control the tramline sequence.

Little work project over the last couple of weeks.
Made a alu frame for an 85" screen to mount within the space of an old fireplace without piercing it in anyway. It's also motorised so they can vary the height of the screen by up to 700mm.
All made with 3" 3mm box.
The motor is more noisy than i'd like but that's the joys of buying cheap chinese actuators! (They paid for a static mount and i designed and built a motorised version for free as they are a good customer).
The pics don't do this justice, the fireplace and the screen are both huge!

I want to see the JD rig too...
I still can't get my head around how guys like you can run fixed 4m wide kit with duals etc, presumably to cover 100s of acres, without going near a road?
Next bit of fun for me is putting a conditioner shaft back on one of our silage mowers, and servicing stuff ready for 1st cut.

We cover about 2400 acres in total, 1300 through the combine resr through the forager. We have one main road between a couple of farms but only for 3 miles. I'll start a thread when I'm in tonight

Fuel tank for wifey's Ford pop. Not finished yet and I didn't make it just today
It's been a much longer job than anticipated. It's baffled and has a swirl pot made from a wine cooler I found in a charity shop! The return goes back into the bottom of the swirl pot via a machined venture so that it constantly pulls fuel in. The swirl pot also forms a sump which is 25mm lower than the tank base. Pump is in the swirl pot with the intake below the tank base.
Sorry about the location, it's a sh1te hole at the moment outside my workshop.
I've not shown the bottom because it's not as distortion free as I would have liked (stainless is such fun!)

Finished the last of my slab sided AR15 uppers today and I am now into my new made here AR straight pull curved sided uppers. I was buying the slab sided ones in, I am making (in conjunction with a friend) the newer style ones and engraving them myself. Having a whale of a time getting my head around the CAD/CAM but I guess there is no better time than present.
Will post a few pics of the finished items tomorrow.

I forgot to post these up last week.
The main form of my tail section is done but I still need to enclose the underside and mount it.
Today I also had a play and made my first front mudguard in steel. I need to buy some more aluminium but my go to for half sheets is closed so I need to make some calls tomorrow.

Shhhhh, I massaged the figures to bamboozle the wife.
Safety rails and railings,around the wheel,handrail down to the wine cellar.
The wheels still working so care needed and it’s slimy,wheel stopped in ww2,now making electricity,all the machining and fabrication by me in 2010/11,nice going back occasionally to see how everything wears in,last October had to replace the gearbox

i seen another bit of iron sticking out the ground when i levered it out there was a
pair so i decided it would make a good band for the anvil log, i half cut it thru to get the bends easy formed and kept the coach bolt heads and nuts just for looks , it welded well with 6010 ,considering its poor quality
an djustable rod was made,at one end then the whole lot clamped up with a sash clamp and the other tie rod welded , i still got some adjustment spare
im enjoying this lockdown
