Gears are module 1 and available from ebay cheap enough, which will give other speeds. You'll need 16mm bore and cut a 3mm? key way. I saw a guide on making up another gear bracket, dedicated for a set of slower feed gears, seems a good idea.
Gibs you want adjusted to have minimum movement but to have smooth travel over full range. If its tight it will wear quickly. Doesnt take long to adjust
I just got a box of post from zim-hk ebay, 21-26mm
er40 collets and face mill inserts. I havent tried the face mill yet should be interesting !
Got a decent amount of turning left to do before I can use collet chuck.
