Now why did you have to go and do that? WHY?
I will have to start all over again with Google. Poo!
Hé is right though, the P6e is a lightweight

Ifor Williams gd84 twin axel.
Those p6e things are in the "we're going for s weekend camping" territory. Which is fine. If you want to go camping.
If you want to drag stuff about, if it's heavy stuff, then you need somthing braked for starters.
Julian
I can’t disagree if you want to shift anything heavy, but mine’s been run at capacity (sometimes over) for most of it’s life and has been a fine piece of kit; it’s certainly not in the camping trailer class.
Best £700 I spent was getting my trailer test though. One less thing to be nicked for![]()
Just for reference, if you don't have a trailer licence you can still drive a train weight that's plated higher than 3500kg. You just have to make sure that the actual weight is less than 3500kg.
Embarrassing... apologies all! This was something that came up last year and i forget who, but someone in a position of authority told me that it was actual weight, not plated weight, that mattered... I've a feeling it was maybe a driving instructor! Anyway yes you're completely right, it states it right there on the .gov website. You do not use the real weight for licences.

PLEASE DONT GIVE WRONG LEGAL ADVICE
Licence are controlled by plated weights not real weights FACT.
The law is with a B licence you can either
tow a 750kg or less trailer with any class B vehicle.
OR
Drive a combined plate weight of 3500kg IF the trailer is over 750kg.
You do not use the real weight for licences.
This is where maybe I was going wrong and getting confused with the licencing weights, I believe this situation IS legal, but hopefully Justme will clarify. Can you clarify as you are well versed on trailer regs , I have done cpc etc so can tow up to 3500kg trailer, how ever recent got a mitsi l200, now there (old one) legal tow limit is 2700kg so my opinion is I cant tow a trailer, even empty if it is plated over that weight , others dis agree and say I can tow a loaded plated 3500kg trailer as long as the weight does not exceed the 2700kg plated weight or gvm(gtw). thanks
