Hi,

Now that's what I call a proper machine made to last many lifetimes. Once it's fully installed the street lights will be dim.

No I will probably re scrape main ways . The columns tend to survive well
Obviously when I asked a yank with their use of pounds and exaggerate weights ‘18000lbs’

I`m not surprised you have to prepare a place for it, you can hardly tuck it round the corner with a pallet truck

They say you can make anything with a shaper except money. What can you do with a planer? I imagine it would make light work of your cast straight edges.

Just spotted the second cross slide on the vertical column, is that normal?

Quite normal and critical if you want to machine the side.
I bought it to machine pressbrake tooling, machine mill beds etc.
Will be good for straight edges

Tbh I wont put a grinder on a open way machine just like id never use a tool post grinder
But heres a planer with a grinding head

Yes I can imagine it would make pressbrake tooling an absolute breeze. How long till it's up and running?

Summer because Ive got to build a new shop for it.
Once on canvey island there was two expert fabricators.
They had the first privately own pressbrake in the area , late forties era.
They had a planer to make the tooling.
When it all got scraped ten years ago the family insisted it all scrapped
