What annoys me though is that we are getting charged £10 more than you guys on the mainland.
FFS, they are sent on a pallet in a lorry full of stuff, how can they justify charging £10 extra per welder.
The welding helmets are back in too, grab one as they are quite good! There are some functional differences in the 2 styles, I went for the one with flames.

Just seen this 'flux- cored wire welder' coming to Lidl store on the 19th of this month, very similar to this plasma cutter review, the model number is almost the same,...I'm confused, can this machine cut through metal too.
Looks like Lidl have now changed the details in the link, only one picture of the machine now.
This MIG is a transformer machine not an inverter, but it has fully variable power level control, rather than the 4 coarse level switches that are usual on this class of machine. So it may offer a good combination of flexibility and reliability.
I'm liking that black helmet, wouldn't look out of place on a death star visit. The gasless wire might raise some eyebrows though.
I looked at both lids the last time they were in & bought the flame one because it suited me better, can't remember the reason.

Mine has a PT31 torch, good quality Chinese consumables can be bought on ebay from shopriver.
I hope you guys in GB get the chance to buy the plasmas this time!
Tho only thing that lets the machine down is the torch lead is a bit short but you can get a longer lead from China for a few ££.
