Paul,@Matthew Tinker that mounting approach from Stephan with the magnets is really neat - thanks for that. I will have a think and see if I can use that design, depends how much time I get to play about
When I was looking I could only find 150mm discs, did look for some 100mm because I could possibly have convertered the Lidl variable speed bench sander if I had found 100mm - but that might be another project later

The magnet fixing idea is cool, but it isn't stefan's idea. One of the commercial units uses them.
