My friend has asked me to go to his garage to do some welding ..my weld set is on 32A single phase ..his supply is 13A single phase ,can i use an adaptor im only running it on low settings
Cheers mate ,what sort of adaptor..a pat testing one is the only one i can findyes it will limit you to 13 amp but will only pop the 13 amp fuse if overloaded and wont harm anything else
Found one on amazon for £14 matethat will be ok 30 amp socket one end and 13 amp plug on other might be cheaper to make your own up unless there less than a tenner
ok if your happy with the price ready made
yes that will be fine, If you can rewire a plug you can make your ownI dont fancy making my own i dont trust myself hahaha ,so that lead i posted above from amazon should work fine yes?
I have a 250a R-Tech (2 actually).. the TIG used to trip the breaker on switch on, fixed with a new, type C IIRC, breaker. Don't know about the MIG as I'd changed the breaker before I got that. If it does, turn on the welder and then turn on the breaker until it works. Once it's started up the welding should be ok.250A rtech and im welding car body
